[The Corporate World]
While sipping on to one of my favourite desserts - bai guo yi mi, I turned to the recept desk and got myself the Today's newspaper to read. Though the bai guo yi mi made by aunty wasn't sweet enough for my sweet tooth, I enjoyed every single bit of it that made it my breakfast and also filled my grumbling tummy up.

The one week recept job drained all my strength and energy away, making me look 10 years older with the formal OL look when I already look older than my actual age. Though work can be mundane and not so satisfying, I am still happy to see familiar faces at work. Though many have left the company in venture for greener pasture, their positions has been filled by others. What left me with a puzzled mind is that, when a vp of a dept leaves, the assistant vp of that dept doesn't get promoted when he/she qualifies to be one. Imagine slogging so many years in hope for a better salary and better position but yet your so called "dream position" is to be replaced by brighter young hopefuls from the outside corporate world.

Then what's the point on staying in one's job then when the furture of one's cannot be seen in that company? Then there's no point in showing one's loyalty to the company, no point in working so hard to thrive on with them.

I also realised that the higher positions in the company people seems to be more snobbish, or perhaps being binded down by too much work that makes a smile difficult to be expressed or a simple hello to be taken away. The concerning human nature should not be taken away and most importantly not taken for granted by you.

Perhaps it's just me who feels this way and my opinion of them trying to get outside talents to join the company maybe the reason why this is happening. Sad to say...this is the corporate world outside after all...

Just a nobody who feels this way...
